•What is Browser-Safe Color Palette / Web-Safe Colors?
> The browser-safe colour palette was developed to support 8-bit monitors that could only support 256 colours. If colours used are not browser safe, the image formed on screen would dither.

•Is it still relevant in today’s context? Why?
> In my opinion, it is still relevant to a certain extent. In today’s context, not many people own monitors than could accomodate very few colours. However, that is not to say that there aren’t anyone who has low-colour monitors. There is a possibility, no matter how small, that sites are visited by these people. And I strongly believe that web designers should try to accomadate all site viewers.
•What are the common fonts face found on PC & Mac?
> Arial, Helvetica, Sans serif, Courier, Monospace, Lucida, Times New Roman, Trebuchet, Verdana. There are quite a number more but they are mostly font-family.

•What is page loading time and how it influence your
design?
> Page loading time refers to the amount of time needed for a site to load. If a Web page takes a long time to load, site visitors and viewers will abandon the site entirely. Hence, the website will lose it’s popularity. An article proves that more than one-third of visitors that experienced slow loading time abandoned the site entirely, while 75 percent were likely not to shop on that site again.

Read about Web Design Process article above and
write what you think about it (at least 150 words)
> After reading the article umpteen times, I acquired some understanding of the processes involved when designing a web page. Although it was a site mainly for professionals that are responsible for the long-term planning of a website, it offers an insight of the various web design process for amateur web designers. Although the terms that was used differs, I believe that the foundation of all the different processes are the same – Consulting the client, drafts/sketches, initial mock up, finalise the design, code them and then maintenance. Web design process play a great positive role in web designer professional life if it is as simple and organized as the processes stated in the article. However, I believe that each designer have their own personal method that they use to come out with the best final product. On the other hand, the best method to know which the best process for one is the trial and error method.
On a side note, I think the website design for the site is awful. For a web design planning site, shouldn’t the site be more appealing for the design-savvy? And I had to load several times before it properly displays! AND the first link was a broken one! SO MUCH FOR BEING PROFESSIONAL!
